Until we have set forth an official statement of rules and guidelines, the following apply:
Members:
This forum is primarily intended for persons who were designated female at birth, but who have self-identified somewhere on the masculine spectrum, whether that is FTM, trans-masculine, butch dyke, transboi, or any of the plethora of labels in our community. A sub-board for allies, friends, partners, supporters, and family exists and all are welcome, but the focus is on the unique trans-masculine experience.
Requirements of the Hosting Service:
Read the Terms of Service and do not post anything that violates those terms, including, but not limited to:
Your Safety:
You can go to your pofile to adjust settings. You and upload an avatar or your own pictures. Do not use avatars that are copyrighted or not in the public domain. Think carefully as to whether you want to upload a real photograph of yourself. You and elect to show or hide your birthdate and your email address, your location, and other information. These settings can be changed at any time. Do not reveal the identity of your abuser. You can block users, and you can choose whether to receive private messages or not. Choose wisely -- you are responsible for your own safety, but notify an administrator is you encounter any problems.
With regard to personal safety, this is a peer support group. As of yet, the forum is not monitored 24/7, and it is not a substitute for professional help. We can offer you virtual hugs and concern, but we cannot be responsible for your choices and actions. If you are in danger, either from being suicidal or under threats from an abuser, take preoactive action on your own behalf to keep yourself safe.
Respect for Other Members:
Reasonable people disagree, but focus on the topic and do not launch personal attacks against other members. Be kind and be respectful. Remember that online communication is often vague and open to interpretation, so pause before you reply to something someone has posted. No form of abuse will be tolerated.
Banning:
Until formal rules have been decided, and procedures set forth, any member will be banned immediately at the sole discretion of the forum administrators without warning or explaination for the safety of the members.
Triggering:
Be aware that members will have had differing experiences and may be at different places along the path to healing. If you post something that might be triggering for others, give warning and label it as such.
Privacy:
This is the Internet and privacy cannot be guaranteed. That's why it's important to take a loot at your profile settings and set them according to your own preferences with safety in mind. Everything shared on this forum is considered confidential, and no member is allowed to share anything outside the forum without the author's permission. Original artwork, writing, videos, etc, are owned by the member posting them, and should not be shared without their permission.
